Antique box veneered with highly figured amboyna burl and edged with solid ebony.  The box has a lift out  compartmentalized tray and a separately lockable side drawer. The lid is lined in ruched blue velvet with document wallet behind. The box has countersunk brass carrying handles.

Origin: UK;  Circa: 1860; Materials: Amboyna on a hardwood structure.

Size:  27.7 cm wide by 21 cm by 16 cm:   10.9 inches wide by  8.3  inches by  6.3 inches.

Condition: good overall; working locks and keys; see images
