A Chinese Export Lacquer Table Cabinet with Gold Decoration Circa 1835
A good example of this type of work showing a composition of figures in an elaborate pavilioned garden. This is unusual in that the whole area is covered by a continuous scene.

 

Dimensions: 17" high including pediment, 12" and 7" deep.

Inside the cabinet has five drawers with turned bone handles.
Sides which continue the fine quality painting of the front.
