Chinese Export Lacquer Tea Caddy with Gold Decoration Circa 1835.
 

Tea caddy in Chinese lacquer in  good original condition.  The lacquer is decorated with  gold in two colors.    

The  decoration  is of  fine quality  and  the complex shape exceptionally  good.  It stands on four carved wooden  feet in the shape of dragon feet. 

The interior  contains a pair of pewter tea canisters  with  round  raised lid. 

Chinese made for export to England circa 1835 .

It measures 8.25 inches wide  by 6 inches deep and it is 5.25 inches  high including feet: 21cm wide by 15cm deep by 13cm high.

The decoration is in vignettes enclosed within ornamental shapes.

The interior  contains a pair of  pewter tea canisters  with  round  raised lid.
