Single Compartment Mahogany tea Caddy Circa 1810.

A single compartment mahogany tea caddy with embossed gilded brass escutcheon. Circa 1810.  

4.8" wide by 3.6" by 4.4" tall.

The flame mahogany on the front is particularly attractive.

The form of the top shows the neo classical influence which were prevalent at the time.

The inside of the caddy is lined with silvered paper.
