Description: A delightful silver and tortoiseshell snuff box, decorated with a theatrical figure in silver piqué. The silver lines are very fine. They depict the feathers on his hat and his pointing finger with a naive charming sharpness. 

Origin: Probably English, but could be French. See Antique Boxes, Tea Caddies, and Society, 1700--1880
