Description: A penwork large snuff box with a picture of a grand house on the top and a complex pattern of interwoven roses, thistles, and shamrocks, symbolizing England, Scotland and Ireland all around. The quality of the work is high with the pattern continuing over the integrated Scottish hinge. (see Antique Boxes, Tea Caddies, and Society, 1700--1880
