Description: A circular snuff box painted with the portrait of a young lady reading a letter and looking apprehensive. Suggestions have been made as to the identity of this person, but I am not convinced we have enough information to state an opinion. Whoever she is, she conforms to the bauty criteria of her time. 

Origin: England

Circa: 1830-40

Materials: papier mâché

Size: 2.6"across. 7cm.

Condition: Small crack on lid surround.
