Description: An exquisite patch box in transparent horn decorated with a fine silver surround and with gilded catch, hinge and facings which are integrated with the hinge.  The brown dots are painted underneath and show through the transparent surface. The silk and mirror inside, are original.

Origin: France

Circa: 1790.

Materials: Horn.

Size: 3.35"across. 8.5cm.

Condition: Chip and crack on base.
