wb141: Antique writing box, the top and front decorated with marquetry in contrasting rosewood and birds eye maple  depicting stylized themes from nature, opening down to reveal a green baize  velvet writing surface and compartments for pens and writing instruments. There are compartments for holding paper under the flaps. Circa 1840
