Antique flame mahogany sewing box with lift-out  compartmentalized tray fitted with silk winders and further spaces for thread reels. The tray is made from straight grained pine. The inside of the lid is lined with blue silk. There are brass escutcheons to the top and front. Circa 1830.

Size: 28.5 cm wide by 23 cm by 11.9  cm:  11.2 inches wide by  9  inches by  4.4  inches.

Condition: good overall; some dents and marks; working lock and key; see images.
