Pair of Antique Face Screens with embossed surrounds and floral watercolours C.1830.

The embossed frame, marked Dobbs, is magnificent. Grapes, peaches, hazelnuts and other fruits interweave in abundance. The flower paintings in the centre are now faded but have traces of fine work.  

The handles are turned and carved in a complex pattern.

 Origin: UK, Dobbs ;  Circa: 1830 ; Materials: paper and wood

Size:  Screen 26 cm wide by 22 cm; handle 23 cm long: 10.2  inches wide by 8.8 inches; handles 9.1 inches.
