Figured rosewood box with rounded edges in alternating brass and rosewood having fine inlaid brass accents depicting  stylized neo-classical motifs . The box is of high quality, which continues into the compartmentalized interior. There is a lockable side drawer of dovetail construction fitted for jewelry. It is lined in velvet and embossed leather. The box has its original leather covered lift-out tray. There is a document wallet in the lid with a mirror behind.  Both the main lock and the drawer lock are working and have the same key. Circa 1825

Size: 31 cm wide by 23.5 cm by 17.3 cm:  12.2  inches wide by 6. 8 inches by 4.8  inches.

Condition: good overall; working locks and key; the mirroring of the lift out mirror is deteriorated; see images
